Jackson-Pratt Flat Drain SU130-1311 are made of a silicone elastomer for softness and flexibility, featuring:
• Injection molded for strength and drain integrity
• Flat drains have a two-piece design
• Inner lumen ribbing to help prevent drain collapse and clogging and help preserve drain patency
• Silicone that is barium impregnated for x-ray detection of drain
• Not made with natural rubber latex

Expiration dates have mostly to do with sterilization and not the integrity of the product. The manufacturers sterilize the products after they are packaged and it lasts so many years. The only products we caution customers about are ones that are absorbable or drug coated.
