All-natural collagen matrix
SurgiMend PRS is derived from fetal bovine dermis, one of the richest sources of Type III collagen available.
Non-Inflammatory for better support
It is made of Type I and Type III collagen; and is without preservatives, denatured proteins, artificial chemical crosslinks, cells, lipids, carbohydrates and other constituents, all of which can induce inflammation.
Rapid revascularization for tissue building and support
Intraoperatively, patient tissue-building cells and growth factors are sequestered within SurgiMend. The microporous matrix is rapidly revascularized to support tissue building. Rapid cell repopulation and revascularization, combined with its non-inflammatory nature, provides for prolonged reinforcement.

Expiration dates have mostly to do with sterilization and not the integrity of the product. The manufacturers sterilize the products after they are packaged and it lasts so many years. The only products we caution customers about are ones that are absorbable or drug coated.
