Smith Nephew 8213-0000-09 Oasis Ultra Tri-Layer Matrix is a natural extracellular matrix (ECM) derived from porcine small intestinal submucosa (SIS). This unique, tri-layer design incorporates 3 layers of natural tissue into the wound to help promote an angiogenic environment conducive to healing. Oasis Ultra is indicated for the management of surgical wounds (donor sites/grafts, post-Mohs’ surgery, post-laser surgery, podiatric, wound dehiscence), partial- and full-thickness wounds, trauma wounds, venous ulcers, chronic vascular ulcers, diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, and drainage wounds. Oasis Ultra is derived from a porcine source and should not be used in patients with known sensitivity to porcine material. Oasis Ultra is not indicated for use in third-degree burns.

Expiration dates have mostly to do with sterilization and not the integrity of the product. The manufacturers sterilize the products after they are packaged and it lasts so many years. The only products we caution customers about are ones that are absorbable or drug coated.
