Mammosite CED-Cavity Evaluation Device

The MammoSite CED is a simple 4–5 cm spherical single-lumen, silicone device. The CED may be used to assess the lumpectomy cavity and aid in the selection of the appropriate MammoSite RTS applicator. It may be used during surgery to assess skin spacing and conformance. The device may also be left in the lumpectomy cavity as a placeholder until it is exchanged for the MammoSite RTS applicator.
In Perfect sealed condition but past expiration date. Not for human use in the US.
Expiration dates have mostly to do with sterilization and not the integrity of the product. The manufacturers sterilize the products after they are packaged and it lasts so many years. The only products we caution customers about are ones that are absorbable or drug coated.
