CSI DBE-200 Stealth 360 Orbital Pad System is a minimally invasive catheter-based orbital atherectomy system (OAS) used to treat patients who suffer from peripheral arterial disease (PAD)—caused by the accumulation of plaque in the leg or foot arteries, which reduces blood flow and can lead to pain, tissue loss, and eventually amputation.
This system is designed to treat a broad range of plaque types both above and below the knee and may address many of the limitations associated with existing treatment alternatives.
The CSI DBE-200 Stealth 360 Orbital Pad System is a percutaneous orbital atherectomy system indicated for use as therapy in patients with occlusive atherosclerotic disease in peripheral arteries and who are acceptable candidates for percutaneous transluminal atherectomy.
The OAS supports removal of stenotic material from artificial arteriovenous dialysis fistulae (AV shunt). The OAS is a percutaneous orbital atherectomy system indicated as a therapy in patients with occluded hemodialysis grafts who are acceptable candidates for percutaneous transluminal angioplasty.
The OAS consists of a hand-held OAD, the SIP, a guide wire, and atherectomy lubricant. It is designed to remove or reduce occlusive material and restore luminal patency by using a spinning, orbiting diamond-coated crown. The OAS is an 0.014-inch platform for use only with approved CSI guide wires.

The Orbital Atherectomy Device
The OAD (see Figure 1) is a hand-held component of the OAS that provides the physician with independent control of the OAS. The OAD features:
Three rotational speed settings;
manual guide wire brake;
crown advancer knob with spin control (activates crown and allows for independent extension of the crown);
15-cm travel with measurement indicators;
drive shaft (a flexible, helically wound, stainless steel, multiple-wire shaft that drives spinning of the crown and allows for passage of a guide wire);
eccentric diamond-coated crown (functions as the abrasive surface);
sheath (covers the shaft proximal to the crown);
electrical cord to power the OAD;
an electric motor (which spins the shaft/crown);
saline infusion port (allows for infusion of saline through the sheath around the shaft);
saline tubing from the SIP to the OAD; and
strain relief (green polymer cone on the nose of the OAD handle that prevents kinks in the sheath and drive shaft).

Expiration dates have mostly to do with sterilization and not the integrity of the product. The manufacturers sterilize the products after they are packaged and it lasts so many years. The only products we caution customers about are ones that are absorbable or drug coated.
