The Covidien ValleyLab E2520H Argon Plus Handset delivers standard or argon-enhanced electrosurgery.
The ability to deliver standard or argon-enhanced coagulation and cutting in one instrument lets the multifunction Valleylab argon handset provide unprecedented surgical flexibility for open and laparoscopic procedures. The handset has a retractable electrode design, which facilitates argon-enhanced coagulation and protects the laparoscopic electrode tip from damage when being inserted or withdrawn from the cannula.

Expiration dates have mostly to do with sterilization and not the integrity of the product. The manufacturers sterilize the products after they are packaged and it lasts so many years. The only products we caution customers about are ones that are absorbable or drug coated.
