Cook Arndt Endobronchial Blocker Set allows one-lung ventilation through a conventional single-lumen endotracheal tube, which is easier to place and poses less risk of trauma to internal structures than a double-lumen tube. The possibility of airway loss, which is a problem during the exchange of a single or double-lumen endotracheal tube, is eliminated with this method.
Intended for use to differentilaly intubate a patient’s bronchus in order to isolate the left or right lung procedures that require one-lung ventilation.
In Perfect sealed condition but past expiration date. Not for human use in the US.
Expiration dates have mostly to do with sterilization and not the integrity of the product. The manufacturers sterilize the products after they are packaged and it lasts so many years. The only products we caution customers about are ones that are absorbable or drug coated.
