The Boston Scientific 4710 Extractor Pro XL and DL Retrieval Balloons have been redesigned to offer long-wire users additional device options and a stiffer catheter for improved “pushability.”
Enhanced Balloon Design
➤ New and improved balloon is designed to improve strength and reliability.
➤ Each of the three balloon sizes can be inflated to two distinct diameters: 9–12mm; 12–15mm; 15–18mm to better accommodate anatomical variations and help obviate the need to use an additional balloon and change catheters if an alternative balloon diameter is required.
➤ “Squared shoulder” balloon is designed to facilitate stone removal

Expiration dates have mostly to do with sterilization and not the integrity of the product. The manufacturers sterilize the products after they are packaged and it lasts so many years. The only products we caution customers about are ones that are absorbable or drug coated.
