Boston Scientific 3752 Advanix Pancreatic Stent designed for Drainage, Flexibility, Durability and Enhanced visualization.
The Advanix Pancreatic Stent is indicated for pancreatic duct drainage and is designed to address visualization
and stent placement.
Drainage Holes:
• Facilitates flow into the drainage holes and flow into the duodenum
• Positioned every 5mm – at 90 degree intervals to support drainage and patency
FLEXIBILITY AND DURABILITY:
To aid in placement, the stent is constructed of a flexible, yet durable polymer
ENHANCED VISUALIZATION:
• Endoscopic visible marker
• Radiopaque marker
– During procedure: Useful for proper stent placement
– Post procedure: Designed to aid in visualization during follow-up fluoroscopic exam
The NaviFlex RX Pusher, which is included is designed to be pushable and durable — helping in stent
placement, particularly in tortuous anatomy
In a systematic review involving 680 patients in 8 studies, pancreatitis was significantly reduced with the use of pancreatic duct stents from 19% in controls to 6%.
The number needed for treatment in order to avoid a single episode of post-ERCP pancreatitis with pancreatic duct stent placement was 8.1

Expiration dates have mostly to do with sterilization and not the integrity of the product. The manufacturers sterilize the products after they are packaged and it lasts so many years. The only products we caution customers about are ones that are absorbable or drug coated.
