The Bard PermaFix Fixation system unique fastener design means no sharp points are left behind in the patient. Preclinical data show that a hollow core allows tissue ingrowth through the fastener. The 5 mm depth of tissue purchase and consistent thread diameter from head to tip assure optimal tissue engagement during open and laparoscopic procedures.
The System has a 5 mm, low-profile delivery system that offers smooth, efficient deployment. Keeping track of the pre-loaded 15-fastener configuration is easy with an easy-to-see fastener gauge.

Expiration dates have mostly to do with sterilization and not the integrity of the product. The manufacturers sterilize the products after they are packaged and it lasts so many years. The only products we caution customers about are ones that are absorbable or drug coated.
