The Bard 0113126 Optifix Absorbable Fixation System has been engineered inside and out to provide surgeon confidence and secure fixation in a reliable, easy to use, and ergonomic design.
The device delivers 30 Synthetic absorbable fasteners via a straight shaft. In-vitro studies indicate that the fastener retains 100% of its original strength at 60 days. Absorption of the fastener is nearly complete after 360 days
In Perfect sealed condition but past expiration date. Not for human use in the US.
Expiration dates have mostly to do with sterilization and not the integrity of the product. The manufacturers sterilize the products after they are packaged and it lasts so many years. The only products we caution customers about are ones that are absorbable or drug coated.
