Acell PFM0710 Pelvic Floor Matrix is a porcine – derived, naturally – occurring extracellular matrix sheet that maintains and supports a healing environment for soft tissue reinforcement.

MatriStem Pelvic Floor Matrix is intended for implantation to reinforce soft tissue where weakness exists in urological and gynecological anatomy including vaginal prolapse repair, reconstruction of pelvic floor, and pubourethral support. The device is intended for one-time use.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:  

Patients with known sensitivity or allergy to porcine materials.

PRECAUTIONS:

Do not use device if package seal has been broken.

No studies have been conducted to evaluate the reproductive impact of the clinical use of device.

POTENTIAL COMPLICATIONS

Complications and reactions are possible with any soft tissue repair, including but not limited to: infection, increased chronic inflammation, allergic reaction, unexplained fever or chills, excessive redness, pain, swelling, tender scars,
adhesions, seroma formation, dyspareunia, vaginal shortening, vaginal bleeding, atypical vaginal discharge, groin and/or buttock and/or leg pain, fistula formation, urinary incontinence, delayed or failed incorporation of graft, failure to repair the prolapse, recurrent prolapse, mesh or suture erosion or extrusion, and injury to the bladder, bowel, blood vessels, and/or nerves of the pelvis.

DEVICE APPLICATION

1. Remove device from packaging using standard aseptic/sterile technique.

2. Rehydrate prior to use in a sterile dish by submerging device in room temperature sterile saline or sterile lactated Ringer’s solution for twenty (20) minutes.

3. Prepare graft site using standard surgical techniques.

4. Using aseptic technique, transfer device into graft site and suture into place. NOTE: Place basement membrane side of device toward epithelial surface for best results.

In Perfect sealed condition but but past expiration date. Not for human use in the US.

Expiration dates have mostly to do with sterilization and not the integrity of the product.  The manufacturers sterilize the products after they are packaged and it lasts so many years.  The only products we caution customers about are ones that are absorbable or drug coated.
