9-AVP2-014: St. Jude Medical Amplatzer Vascular Plug II unique multi-segmented, multi-layered design significantly reduces the time to occlusion for transcatheter embolization procedures. The three lobes of the 9-AVP2-014 Amplatzer Vascular Plug II are designed to better conform to vessel landing zones. The plug 2 has 6 layers of mesh giving a relatively rapid time to vessel occlusion.
The 9-AVP2-014: St. Jude Medical Amplatzer Vascular Plug II can be recaptured prior to final deployment allowing for accurate placement. It can be used to occlude larger vessels that would previously have required numerous coils for occlusion. We find them of great use in portal vein occlusion and for internal iliac artery occlusion during EVAR procedures.
In Perfect sealed condition but past expiration date. Not for human use in the US.
Expiration dates have mostly to do with sterilization and not the integrity of the product. The manufacturers sterilize the products after they are packaged and it lasts so many years. The only products we caution customers about are ones that are absorbable or drug coated.
